The piece pictured here is an exceptional wood-fired Bizen vase by Yoshida Koichi offered on my web gallery as of today.
One of Japan's best ex-pat woodfirer potters is John Dix; his Tokyo exhibition is this week from April 19-April 23 at Gallery Shun (ph/03-3444-7665) in the Hiroo district of Tokyo.
